Mecedes Benz CLA Responds to Mileage Needs while Enhancing the Smart Experience

Although Mecedes Benz did not introduce any new car models, it still shared its own vehicle manufacturing process and previewed its future development with the Mecedes CLA concept car in terms of hardware and software respectively (Figure 7). In terms of hardware, Mecedes Benz focuses on solving the existing pain points of electric vehicles, responding to drivers' anxiety about mileage with a 750Km long mileage and a 15-minute charging of 80% with an 800V electrical system. In terms of safety, Mecedes announced its ADAS system in cooperation with nVIDIA and Luminar, and announced that it will reach Level 3 in the US, Germany, and some parts of China. In terms of software, the operating system is regarded as the main carrier of the concept of software-defined vehicles. Mecedes' MB.OS 1 is equipped with MBUX, an intelligent mobility assistant that can record driving habits, predict driving behavior patterns, and provide natural, considerate, and personalized adjustments to driving settings, such as what kind of music to listen to while commuting, and what kind of air conditioning settings are preferred when the temperature outside the car is 30 degrees. In terms of R&D, Mecedes Benz also announced that it will work with Google on data collection, data analysis, UI/UX design, APP import and AI, and is expected to import Google Gemini in the future to provide a better driving experience.
