OpenAIStrategic Intentions with Google in Generative AI

AI technology has been in development for more than 65 years, since 1956, but the AI technology developed in the past was focused on prospective scientific research and lacked everyday practicality, so it received little attention from the public. It was not until November 2022 that ChatGPT, an AI chat robot launched by OpenAI, was launched, triggering the first-ever global AI boom and putting the company in the spotlight of the world. This not only turned generative AI into a household tech buzzword, but also fueled the first wave of AI hardware deployment opportunities. Then, in early 2023, Google seemingly rushed the launch of Bard, which made its debut by answering a question about Webb's space telescope and stumbling slightly, causing the stock price to fall hard. OpenAI seemed to have the upper hand in this first short encounter. Coincidentally, at the end of 2023, the two sides again chose a very close date to release their latest results, with a strong implication of rivalry.
