Porui's precise selection of topics and expansion of growth benefits through mergers and acquisitions.

Porui Pharma has mastered the core competence of international pharmaceutical manufacturing and excels in acquiring key technologies and entering the market through mergers and acquisitions (M&A). From the past development track of acquisitions as shown in Figure 1, it is not difficult to see that Porui Pharma has launched three technology areas for positioning and market deployment, namely, small molecule chemical drugs, large molecule protein drugs, and health food products, and Porui Pharma has continued to move towards the world's top ten global contract development and manufacturing services (CDMO, CDMO) OEMs. In addition, Porui Pharma continues its internationalization by moving towards the top 10 Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) foundries in the world.

而其兩大成長主軸則分別為全球CDMO代工業務與全球銷售業務,CDMO代工業務的本質是依託品牌通路商銷售能力的前提下,做好製造品質和成本的有效管控從中賺取製造的利潤,致勝關鍵在於獲取更多大客戶和大訂單,而銷售業務則是以形成自主品牌掌控區域市場的通路銷售網點為主,致勝關鍵則在於鋪貨網點和銷售量業績,保瑞藥業兩手佈局取得進可攻(自主品牌)、退可守(委託製造)的局勢,並可避免陷入被動和低毛利的營運模式。從產業鏈的角度來看,併購策略首重產業鏈整合互補性,今年(2024)保瑞收購美國Upsher-Smith製藥公司、購買美國Emergent BioSolutions馬里蘭州無菌製劑廠,以及結盟泰福,策略因是著重在美國公司熟悉美國市場、且在專科藥(specialty drug)擁有強大的經銷網絡,以及通路客戶關係服務,透過保瑞原先組建有實力的製造大軍,也正需要美國用藥大國的多面向市場,而經營美國市場的定價模式和通路結構極其複雜,也正需要打開美國市場熟門熟路的墊腳石和美國供應鏈支持,從策略綜效來說,結合過去安成品牌藥既有美國通路資源,加上收購美國公司插旗美國市場在滲透通路的過程中,也容易接觸到委託代工製造的潛在客戶,但美國藥業市場畢竟是競爭激烈,在小分子化學藥物有以色列TEVA和印度SUN Pharma競爭,在大分子蛋白藥有歐洲Lonza、美國ThermoFisher和韓國Samsung Biologics藥廠競爭,在保健食品也有許多美國直銷公司競爭,因此新產品選題,以及能否擴大深度商業合作的客戶數量就將會是未來發展關鍵。

此外受惠美國新版生物安全法案(BIOSECURE Act),防範美國生技醫藥研發的核心數據外流,限制與中國生技製藥公司往來,掀起CDMO去中化的搶單商機和趨勢,插旗美國供應鏈,有望搶得台美供應鏈信任合作關係。
